Our Construction Company’s Humble Beginnings
In 1946, Arthur and Kay Lootens decided to open a construction firm to serve the needs of their community. Their son, Jim, began working full-time for the company in 1965. He eventually purchased the business in 1971. Jim and his wife, Jan, expanded the company and added Northern Illinois and Indiana to its service areas. Jim and Jan continue to work together, keeping Art and Kay’s dream alive. They strive to maintain the company’s exceptional business values and customer service.
The Family Legacy Lives On
Jim and Jan’s daughter, Kate, knows the ins and outs of the industry since she grew up in a family of construction experts. She will continue her family’s tradition of providing quality work to clients. This makes Arthur J. Lootens & Son, Inc. a family owned and operated business spanning 80+ years and 3 generations.
